Kaufman International launched websites for companies of all sizes, from multinationals like Proctor & Gamble, Oracle and Time Warner to entrepreneurs bringing new ideas to the market. Here are a few samples of our recent work:
Beach Report Card
Client: Heal The Bay, an environmental non-profit dedicated to making the coastal waters and watersheds of Greater Los Angeles safe, healthy, and clean.
Background: Ten years ago HtB launched their “Beach Report Card” website and mobile app to allow users to get real time current and historical water quality data for all of California’s beaches. Ten years is a long time online, so HtB worked with award-winning design agency RIVAL for almost a year to designed an updated version of their “Beach Report Card” website and mobile application. Six weeks before the initial launch was planned, the mission was almost scrubbed because of difficulties with the engineering team
Launch: Kaufman International assembled a dedicated team to create a fully responsive consumer site an easy-to-use administration system necessary to manage the complex geographical data necessary to run the Beach Report Card. Two months after launching the web site, the team launched native Android and iOS applications, all managed with the same admin dashboard. KI is proud to work with a great organization and will be supporting development as new requirements arise.
One Potato
Client: A Los Angeles fresh ingredient and recipe delivery service focused on family-friendly and fun make-at-home meal kits.
Background: When One Potato needed a technology team to manage their technology, they contacted Kaufman International because they weren’t just looking for a website—they needed a technology partner who would work with them to understand their business and grow as they grew. One Potato wanted to get their business going quickly and affordably, so Kaufman International built their first website on time and under budget using WordPress and Cratejoy. As One Potato’s business grew, Kaufman International worked with One Potato to design a custom solution that would allow them to add new features flexibly and efficiently, transitioning them to a fully custom solution.
Launch: Kaufman International identified a top design team who understood One Potato’s identity to craft a clean, responsive website with an easy-to-follow subscription and management portal. Kaufman International built One Potato 2.0’s to integrate with third-party tools such as ShipStation for fulfillment, Stripe for subscription payment processing, and ActiveCampaign for email marketing. We didn’t just check off a list of requirements; instead, we worked with One Potato at every step, training them on their new software, changing the design based on their feedback, and building a transition plan to launch their major new platform with zero downtime or impact on their existing customers. Because numbers matter, we worked with One Potato to design a sophisticated reporting tool that allows the business to see everything they need at the touch of a button and to manage every aspect of the customer lifecycle. One Potato’s new database and reporting engine gives them complete visibility into their business processes and allow them to easily implement new reports. As One Potato grows, Kaufman International continues to add features to their infrastructure. We’re not just a service provider, we’re One Potato’s trusted technology team. Weelicious
Client: A Los Angeles based family-focused community and content source for healthy living, recipes, and videos.
Background: As Weelicious’s website content expanded, its recipe database had grown into the thousands, making search and content management a challenge.Weelicious wanted something that would allow users to search for recipes and all their content writers and editors to easily manage the backend. While Wordpress worked at the start, their content library was becoming unmanageable, unsearchable, and unusable. As their content base was increasingly visiting the site from a mobile device, Weelicious wanted to take this opportunity to modernize both their content management system and their user interface.
Launch: Kaufman International worked with Weelicious’s management team to design, build, and launch a Craft CMS-based solution that’s user friendly, meets the business’s needs for the future, and looks great on any device.
Becca Swim
Client: A Southern Californian boutique swimwear designer and retailer.
Background:When Becca Swim contacted Kaufman International, they were looking for a partner to design and build a website for them to showcase their high-end swimwear collection. But they didn’t want just any website—they wanted the look of a completely custom solution with the backend flexibility to keep their content current without the need to touch the code.
Launch: As seasoned WordPress experts, Kaufman International was able to take Becca’s requirements and work with Becca Swim’s design team to craft a solution with the look the client wanted with technology to match. We identified the best templates and plugins to get started, then crafted customizations that implemented the client’s vision, allowing them both a fully custom look with sophisticated admin tools in the back. Becca Swim’s website is fully controlled with visual tools—no need for developer intervention when they want to update the website with the new season. Just take a look at http://beccaswim.com/collections -- you’ll see our work in action in this custom responsive gallery.
United Talent Agency
Client: A worldwide talent agency with headquarters in Beverly Hills, California.
Background: UTA’s agents responsible for below-the-line talent such as film editors, screenwriters, and stunt coordinators needed an integrated system that would make it easier for busy, non technical assistants with little experience to refer clients to producers, and track submission status via a secure online application. KI also built UTA Reels, an easy to manage, web-enabled, secure website UTA uses to share their client's reels with producers.
Launch: On Schedule.
